The driver of the Smart car that killed three at fatal accident may be released (Video)

The investigating judge proposed his release, under conditions

The decision of one of the two magistrates who are investigating the case of the fatal accident that took place in the morning of October 15, when a small grey Smart car tore down Petrou Ralli street in West Attica resulting in two deaths at the scene of the crash and one at the hospital, to propose the release the 27-year-old driver of the car raises many questions.

More specifically, although the prosecutor asked for the irresponsible driver to be remanded in custody, the investigating judge proposed his release, under the following conditions: a ban on leaving the country, the obligation to appear at a Police Department 2 times per month and the obligation to surrender his passport.

The disagreement between the two magistrates will be solved by the judicial council in three days. Until then, the accused person is to remain under house arrest.

The video recorded by the security camera shows the moment when one of the victims, a 31-year-old woman, was hit by the car while walking side-by-side with her husband.

Other videos have also been released in the previous days, showing the reckless driving behavior of the accused 27-year-old man.
