The great Greek artist Nana Mouskouri ‘s will perform in a concert on the 14th of July at Herodium. The concert was organized in the context of the international tour of the great Greek artist, entitled «Happy Birthday Tour» started in 2013, including 37 stations around the world witch makes a huge concert map, with the poetry of Nikos Gatsos, as starting point and finish. The occasion is the artists birthday and the desire to celebrate here where it all began, framed by four musicians and her daughter, Lenou, who is also a singer.

A press conference for the presentation of Nana Mouskouri ‘S concert was held at the Children’s Oncology Unit “Marianna V. Vardinogiannis-HOPE,” as part of the proceeds will go to aid the campaign of Bank Volunteer Bone Donor “Vision of Hope”.
The president of the Greek Festival George Luke stated that: ” I am very happy that after five years he Festival welcomes Nana Mouskouri again ,knowing that it is the first name that comes to everyone’s mind when talking about the Greeks abroad”.
Nana Mouskouri after praising the work of the Association “HOPE” and Marianna Vardinogianni, said: “is been 30 years since I first sang at Herodium celebrating the completion of a decade since the restoration of democracy in Greece. This time I am celebrating in the Roman theater my 80eth birthday. I urge you to remember with me 20 years after leaving, two people with which we shared the Greek spring of 1960, Manos and Melina. You see, every story has a beginning. There lies the cause, and the purpose of the trip.. As in so many other concerts, i will be in Herodium with my Lenou, my daughter, who has since 2001 her own career in singing. I am very proud to share the stage with her. It is a dream come true. ”
