Figures of the World Tourism Organization for Greece show a passenger traffic Increase during the first quarter of 2014

Greece is amongst the Mediterranean destinations which are leading the way this year in terms of increasing tourism.
As the World Tourism Barometer of the World Tourism Organization reports, indeed, the Mediterranean is among the areas that have marked the largest increase of tourists, reaching 8%, which ranks along with Northern Europe regions”.

For Greec the increase is seen from the figures published yesterday by the Bank of Greece, according to which, in terms of travel spending in Greece by non-residents, they increased in the first five months of 2014 by 10.6% compared with the same period of 2013, reflecting an increase in arrivals of non-residents by 17%, while travel spending abroad by residents increased by 16.3%.
