Theodorakis: Tsipras has no contact with reality in Greece

The leader of “The River” attacked ND, SYRIZA and other parties for receiving electoral financing – He also stressed that “We cannot wait for Merkel nor for a world revolution. We want to change our country now”

The leader of “The River” party, Stavros Theodorakis, in today’s interview to Star channel and Poppy Tsapanidou appeared determined to change Greece, provided the people entrust him with their vote.
Among other things, Mr. Theodorakis strongly criticized the opposition leader, Alexis Tsipras, accusing him of having no contact with reality in Greece.

In the same TV interview, Mr. Theodorakis stressed the need to reduce the funding of political parties for the election battle, defending the model on which the birth of “The River” was founded.

Among other things, Mr. Theodorakis said that the total cost of his campaign for the elections will be 100,000 to 120,000 euros, whereas the other parties will share 4.2 million for their election expenses.
As he underlined, the political system in Greece costs six times the amount spent on the political system of Europe, admitting, however, that the parties must take a minimum subsidy from the state. He also stressed that “We cannot wait for Merkel nor for a world revolution. We want to change our country now”.
