Tsipras-Merkel phone contact

Two leaders focused on Turkish provocative rhetoric, among other matters

Greek PM Alexis Tsipras contacted German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the phone and discussed had a phone contact. The two leaders touched on the matters the EU-Turkish relations in light of the developments on the Cypriot negotiations and the implementation of the refugee agreement. The Greek PM also brought up the increasingly aggressive rhetoric on the part of Turkey against Greece. The Turkish Foreign Minister openly disputed Greek dominion over the isles of Imia in the Aegean Sea in a written response to a Turkish MP on Wednesday. They both agreed to keep close contact and brief each other on matters of common interest.
