Greek PM’s schoolmate, Penelope Anastasopoulou says he ‘wasn’t ugly’ at high school

She remembers he was very politicised

Greek Actress Penelope Anastasopoulou revealed what she remembered of Greek PM Alexis Tsipras during their high school years as teenagers. In an interview to morning TV show ‘Happy Day’, Penelope says she used to go to school with Tsiprass’ younger sister, as he was graduating the year she had come. She recollects that he was very popular among the students and he was the president of the school body. ‘I remember everyone was talking about him in school and I saw him when he came to school. He was involved in politics from a young age’, she says. ‘I don’t know if he was the hunk of the school, he was very popular, though’, remembers Anastasopoulou. ‘He wasn’t ugly. I don’t know his personal stuff’, she said.
