Turkey: The new Prime Minister of Turkey is Ahmet Davutoglu

Rejep T. Erdogan announced this afternoon that the new Prime Minister of Turkey is Ahmet Davutoglu

The decision was taken at the meeting of the Central Committee of the ruling Justice and Development Party and now it remains for Savutoglu to be elected on the 27th of August at the party congress meeting with subject the election of the new leader.

A day later, Erdogan will officially assume the functions of President of the Republic and on the 29th of August he is expected to give the mandate to form the government of Davutoglu.
The election of Davutoglu was obvious from days ago and Abdullah Gul, essentially attempting to “burn” the new prime minister as except the office, it seems that “closes” and the back door of the AKP.
