A video claims to show the killer of the young Serbian supporter holding a blade

Turkey has expressed regret following Saturday’s death of 25-year-old Serbian basketball fan Marko Ivkovic who was stabbed to death in Istanbul. The young Serbian supporter was killed after a fight broke out between Red Star Belgrade and Galatasaray supporters outside the stadium where the match was played.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vicic released a statement expressing “outrage over the monstrous murder.” On his part Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu gave his condolences and regret over the incident. He pledged that Turkish authorities would do all they could to find the perpetrator.

Red Star’s President Nebojsa Covic said that the tear gas that was released by the Turkish police helped cause chaos and set the scene for the stabbing.

Serbian site, “Alo” has released a video showing the incident. 53 seconds into the video a Galatasaray fan is shown brandishing a blade. It is believed that the identity of the supporter will be crucial to identifying the young Serbian supporters killer.
