This has to be one of the most heartwarming examples of humanity and compassion. Turkish newlyweds Fethullah Uzumcuoglu and Esra Polat invited 4,000 Syrian refugees to participate in their wedding celebrations by offering them food. Tradition has it that Turkish weddings culminate in large banquets on the last night of festivities, and the couple decided to donate the savings their parents had collected for them to the refugees living near and around the town of Kilis, where they tied the knot. “I thought that sharing a big delicious dinner with our family and friends was unnecessary, knowing that there are so many people in need living next door”, said the bride.
