Belgian-born American fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg, known for her iconic wrap dress, relaunched her fashion company in 1997 following the reintroduction of her famous wrap dress. A member of the jetset herself, she initially rose to prominence when she married into the German House of Furstenberg by becoming the wife of Prince Egon. Her trademark wrap dress turns 40 this year, and the former princess decided to celebrate the “Journey of a Dress” with exhibitions and a special photo shoot that includes other jetsetters like herself including shipping heiress Eugenie Niarchos and “Princess” Maria-Olympia of the former royal family of Greece that is being hailed as fashion’s newest “it” girl.
The two young jet-setters posed in wrap dresses as part of the year-long digital anniversary for the wrap dress, billed as a high-fashion version of the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”. The two young Greek girls are among the global lineup of models, actresses and other style fashionistas that shier the ir story while wearing a wrap dress (not the same one).
