Tyropita that’s worth having sex for!

We could all use a little cheese in our lives!

Social media has gone wild over the so-called study that states that Greek women are being forced by the economic crisis to sell their bodies for the price of a tyropita (roughly 2 euros). Of course, some tyropita recipes are better than others. Here’s one that combines feta, manouri and yoghurt! Delicious when warm or cold and just right and wholesome for the entire family…

Preparation time: 15 mins Cooking time:60 mins Ready in: 1 hour, 15 mins

Ingredients

1 packet of puffed pastry for pies

1/2 cup of olive oil for the pastry
For the filling:
400 grams of crumbled Chalkidiki feta
400 grams of manouri cheese, grated
200 grams of full cream yoghurt
3 eggs
1 cup of fine semolina
1/2 cup of milk
Preparation methodStep 1

Preheat the oven at 175-180 degrees centigrate (on air). Beat the eggs in a bowl and then add the cheese, yoghurt, milk and semolina until they are mixed in well.

Step 2Grease a medium-sized pyrex dish and lay half of the pastry leaves, ensuring that each one is greased well with olive oil. Evenly add the mixture.

Step 3

Cover the mixture with the rest of the pastry leaves, making sure that each layer is greased well with the olive oil. Ensure that the side layers are folded around the mixture so that they don’t protrude over the sides of the dish. Bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes until the leaves are golden brown.
