Bankruptcy was marginally avoided by the federal US government, as it eventually received the “green light” by the House of Representatives on the Republic expenses bill totaling 1.1 trillion USD. The aim is to finance the federal government Until September 30th.

The bill passed with 219 votes in favor, to 206 against, after US President Barack Obama’s call to the Democrats to vote for it. According to the BBC, only 57 Democrats voted “yes”, out of 201, which head of the Democratic party in Congress, Nancy Pelosi stating that she i deeply disappointed by the US President’s position.
