US elections: Trump’s son could go to jail

for tweeting from the voting booth

Eric Trump, son of the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, could end up in jail for publishing a photograph of his filled-in ballot from the voting booth, something that is illegal in New York.

Early this morning, while exercising his right to vote, the young Trump included a picture of his filled-in Republican ballot in the tweet he sent out in support of his father, which said: “It is an incredible honor to vote for my father!  He will do such a great job for the U.S.A! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain.”

The tweet could either end up costing him several thousand euros in fines, or land him in prison for a year.
