The discovery of the tomb of Aristotle was announced by archaeologists

After years of excavations at the ancient site of Stagira, in central Macedonia, Greek archaeologists announced they have discovered the tomb of ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle.

The discovery of the tomb of Aristotle was announced by archaeologist Kostas Sismanidis, who said the findings from the excavation of 1996 in the region point to the conclusion that the tomb belongs to Aristotle.

The tomb, that has been preserved for 2,400 years, and the monument were erected by Aristotle’s fellow citizens to honor the great philosopher.
