Greek parliament approves omnibus bill

SYRIZA MP Vasiliki Katrivanou voted against two articles

The debate on the omnibus bill that includes measures requested by Greece’s lenders to close the first program review concluded in parliament on Sunday, with speeches by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the leaders of the opposition parties.

The Greek parliament approved in principle the omnibus bill with 153 votes.

However, SYRIZA MP Vasiliki Katrivanou voted against two articles, the new privatization fund and the contingency mechanism, surprising the government, while rumors say that she will submit her resignation.
