Following a series of air disasters in 2014, Australian Qantas Company has been named the safest airline in the world by AirlineRatings.com, a safety and product rating website.

The site has recently released its top ten safest airlines and top ten safest low cost airlines for 2015 from the 449 it monitors.

Qantas tops out the list as it remains fatality free in recent history.

The remaining nine airlines that made the cut include Air New Zealand, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, Finnair, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines.
