Xena, the fictional Greek warrior princess of U.S. TV is trying to fight her way back to television. The Amazon made her debut on “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys” in 1995 and was such a hit that instead of getting killed off as initially plan, she took on a life of her own in a spinoff syndicated series that aired from 1995 through to 2001.

Lucy Lawless played the leather-clad Xena becoming a gay icon and the stuff of male fantasies. Her sidekick Gabrielle (Renee O’Connor) joined her on a quest to redeem herself for past sins by taking on villains.
