WWII torpedo found in Kefalonia

The special army was called in to collect and destroy the torpedo that heavy rains revealed on the Ionian island of Kefalonia

A torpedo dating back to World War Two was brought to the ground surface in Sami, Kefalonia, following the latest round of heavy rain. Locals saw the torpedo protruding from the ground on Thursday morning. It lay near the stream that descends from the hill of St. Fanedon and ends near the Roman port. Experts were called to collect the torpedo. A special army department is expected to follow standard procedure in its destruction.
