Alexis Tsipras: Absolutely no problem with liquidity

The PM and FinMin met at the Maximos Mansion

Liquidity and the 2-billion euro “black hole” in the primary surplus were tabled in the meeting between Alexis Tsipras and Yanis Varoufakis in Maximos Mansion.

“There is absolutely no problem with liquidity” stated the PM right after his meeting with the FinMin, Euclid Tsakalotos and Gabriel Sakellarides.

Both PM Tsipras and FinMin Varoufakis left the Mansion together, telling the journalists that “it is a beautiful day so we’ll walk out in the sun for a while”.

The government, however, states that both salaries and pensions will be deposited normally, responding to any and all rumours about liquidity problems spotted by technical officials sent by the partners.

On his part, deputy FinMin Dimitris Mardas told SKAI news agency that even if a 2bn hole existed, it would be covered by the 100 tranche plan, the anti-tax evasion measures and the fight against illegal fuel.
