Australian tourists flock to Greece

The number of Australian tourists spending their holidays in Greece increased 10% last year and the trend continues

According to travel company and ticket wholesaler, Consolidated World Travel, Australian tourists are flocking to Greece this summer, to enjoy the beautiful beaches, the cultural treasures and the vibrant nightlife of the country.

Owner and general manager of the company, Greek Australian Spiros Alysandratos saw a 10% increase in the number of Australian tourists spending their holidays in Greece last year and the trend is continuing this year also.

Based on industry figures, Australians are the most generous tourists as they stay more days in Greece and spend approximately 1,420 euros, followed by the Canadians at 1,207 euros, Americans at 1,098 euros, and the Russians at 1,005 euros.
