‘Brexit’ could cause anti-EU ‘domino effect’, poll shows

Italy the most anti-EU country among the 8 included

According to a European poll conducted by ‘Ipsos-MORI’ in 8 European countries (France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Hungary and Spain), revealed that nearly half of the people polled believed that a possible Brexit in June could lead other EU countries to depart from the EU. The poll, which was carried out between March 25 and April 8 and involved 6,000 people, indicated that a large 45% of those asked were in favour of holding a referendum on their respective countries’ stay in the EU, while 40% believe that European integration will fade by 2020. France and Italy recorded the highest ant-EU sentiment with 41% and 48%, respectively.
