Christie’s to auction Jackie Kennedy Onassis wedding jewels

The wife of Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis was known worldwide for her impeccable style and elegance.

The amazing wedding jewels once owned by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis will be among the lead items in Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction, which is scheduled to take place on May 13 in Geneva.

The widow of US President John F. Kennedy and later wife of Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis was known worldwide for her impeccable style and elegance.

Five years after Kennedy’s assassination, Jacqueline married Onassis, who gave her a pair of ruby and diamond ear pendants and a matching ring, by Van Cleef & Arpels for their marriage in 1968.

The exquisite set is expected to fetch $250,000 to $350,000, as it is considered one of the most historically important pieces of the auction.
