EC gives the green light to Greek NSRF projects worth 19 billion euros

Priority will be given to specific sectors, such as industry, tourism, energy and agriculture

The European Commission gave the green light to Greek projects worth a total of 19 billion euros, to be completed within the new National Strategic Reference Framework for 2014-2020.

Priority will be given to specific sectors, such as industry, tourism, energy and agriculture and also to developing sciences such as pharmaceuticals, information technology, telecommunications, waste management, commercial transportation services and aquaculture.

The reforms to take place within the framework of NSRF 2014-2020 aim at:

-> Increasing productive investments and employment,
-> Reducing unemployment,
-> Restoring per capita income to pre-crisis levels,
-> Increasing the total productivity,
-> Reducing the economy’s dependence on domestic consumption, and
-> Improving competitiveness
