German Public Prosecutor rules for extradition of Puigdemont to Spain

Final verdict will be reached by competent Schleswig-Holstein court

The German public prosecutor has ruled in favour of the extradition of Carles Puigdemont.
Puigdemont was arrested on a Spanish-issued warrant upon entering Germany on 25 March as he attempted to drive from Finland to Belgium, where he currently resides. Spain accuses the Catalan separatist of rebellion and corruption after he organised an unsanctioned independence referendum. The final ruling on his fate will be reached by the competent court of the Schleswig-Holstein
