Government strikes back against Samaras statements

They blamed the former PM for sinking the country in the mire of memoranda

The government replied to former PM Antonis Samaras’ recent claims immediately, underlining that the country turned the tide of a very tough battle, and actually negotiated, perhaps for the first time.

Government sources state that Mr. Samaras is to blame for the memorandum-induced destruction of the country and the entrapment attempt of the new government. They stated that he invested his political future on the failure of negotiations, and failed.

They also reiterated that the negotiation is not over, and will rather continue with even greater commitment, as long as society is standing by the ruling party.
