How would NASA deal with incoming asteroid (video)

Emergency steps on inevitability of impact

If there’s a giant asteroid expected to hit Earth, NASA and FEMA are responsible for getting the news out to the US public. These two agencies have performed multiple doomsday test runs to make sure that, if that day does come, we’re prepared to detect and hopefully prevent destruction via asteroid. The first step would involve the top 10-12 scientists being informed in emergency texts of the impending danger. After receiving the bad news, the scientists would immediately start tracking the path of the asteroid, then they would conform with FEMA that impact would unavoidable. But there’s no need to head for the caves and underground bunkers just yet. NASA has not detected any object earth-bound for the next 100-200 years.
