Intervention: 25 measures by SYRIZA gov’t to right wrongs

SYRIZA plans to make bribery and corruption a thing of the past by opening case files and confiscating property

The Greek Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) government has chartered a series of 25 tax measures against corruption and tax evasion. These measures seek to find justice and reparation for a series of scandals that have remained unresolved since 2000. The party has also committed to confiscate property that has not been registered in Greece and abroad. These fast-track methods are aimed at discouraging further corruption and righting some of the wrongs in Greece that have lead to statements, such as one by former minister Theodoros Pangalos “We all ate together!”

A documented and detailed list of these measures are in Sunday’s Proto Thema available at newsstands around the country.
