Labour Minister’s new scenarios for self-employed

New proposals for the bill on social security reform are examined following the social reaction caused

Labour Minister Giorgos Katrougalos considers new proposals for the bill on social security reform regarding the self-employed and scientists following the intense social reaction emerged due to the new bill.

Mr. Katrougalos examines the following scenarios:

–  For 12,000-20,000 euros income, contributions will correspond to 15% of their net income instead of 20% that the initial bill provides

– For 20,000 – 30,000 or 35,000 euros income, contributions will increase by 30% compared to what applies today

– For higher incomes, Labour Minister considers setting contributions scales
