Mark Hamill uses “Star Wars” voice to warn Ukrainians about air-raid on App

“Don’t be careless,” Hamill’s voice advises. “Your overconfidence is your weakness”

Actor Mark Hamill has lent his voice as a Jedi from “Star Wars” to a new air-raid app being used in Ukraine to warn residents of an incoming aerial bombardment from Russia.

The 71-year-old actor—best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in George Lucas’ hit franchise—urges people to seek shelter in his familiar voice as a Jedi knight, the Associated Press reported.

“Attention. Air raid alert,” Hamill tells people when the downloadable app linked to Ukraine’s air defense system goes off. “Proceed to the nearest shelter.”
