Meghan Markle’s pregnancy cost more than $1million

The “million-dollar” baby

Meghan Markle’s pregnancy is estimated to have cost a staggering £800,000 – equalling just over $1million, The Sun Online can reveal.

The Duchess of Sussex’s glam maternity wardrobe and reported £15,000-a-night private hospital birth all added to the staggering sum.

It was the culmination of a long nine months that saw Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, tally up a lengthy list of expenses linked to the pregnancy – totalling just shy of £800k at £783,200, or $1,018,800.

Here, we break down all the known costs – from the A-list New York baby shower to the Duke and Duchess’s plush “babymoon” spa retreat.

Meghan enjoyed a baby shower in Manhattan worth $200,000 (154,000), according to estimates.

Among guests were the former actress’s celeb pals like tennis player Serena Williams.

Serena is said to have paid for the party – which included a flower-arranging lesson and dessert tasting with a Michelin-star chef, Vanity Fair reported.

Aside from the bash, Meghan also spent her short trip to the Big Apple dining in plush exclusive restaurants.

Tennis ace Serena footed the £57,400-a-night-bill for the penthouse at The Mark hotel in the upmarket Upper East-Side district of New York.
