Political uproar over Proto Thema revelations on hotspot hirings

Parliamentarians submit questions to Minister

The revelations by newspaper Proto Thema that the government had hired 2,500 people at the refugee hotspots, the vast majority of which did not even show up for work, has caused an uproar, with Greek political parties unleashing harsh criticism against the government. The Democratic Alignment party accused the government of taking on employees with no plan at all, while the River party blasted the government for hiring people before creating the necessary positions. Members of parliament from both parties submitted questions to the competent Minister, Ioannis Mouzalas on the matter.
