“This is …London”!?

It was a glorious publicity stunt — not the debut of surly recruits of a new subway police force which commuters on London’s famous Tube saw this week in the form of … 300 Spartan warriors.

If their outfits and demeanour looked “Hollywood familiar” it was due to the promotion for the release on DVD of the historical fantasy 300: Rise of An Empire.

Loincloths, spears and shields aside, the “300” survived this campaign and interacted nicely with the underground commuters.
