The EU Council of Interior and Foreign Ministers is meeting in the aftermath of the migrant boat that overturned off the Libyan coast where hundreds are estimated to have lost their lives.

The tragic event comes at a time when the problem of undocumented migration is reaching a crescendo in Greece. For this reason, the migration issue is to dominate a meeting between Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Civil Protection Order Minister Giannis Panousis at the Civil Protection ministry on Monday.

Sources state that the Greek government is setting its own roadmap that it wishes to discuss with its partners. Countries like Italy, Spain, Cyprus and Malta also face immigration problems.
