Athens needs ECB ‘liquidity injection’ ASAP as first step towards reopening banks, easing cap controls

Greek PM Alexis Tsipras spoke by phone on Monday evening with both ECB head Mario Draghi and IMF chief Christine Lagarde, discussing the absolutely imperative issue of a “liquidity injection” for currently closed and “capital controlled” Greek banks with the former, according to Greek government sources.
A “viable solution” to the “Greek crisis”, which Athens views as combining a bailout plan with debt restructuring, dominated the conversation with Lagarde.
