Tsipras: “We will lead the dance, and markets will follow”

SYRIZA’s leader explosive speech excerpts

SYRIZA’s victory won’t be a victory just for Greece, but it will also be the beginning of a necessary and great change in Europe, according to SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras, who, speaking on Saturday from a SYRIZA regional conference in Heraklion, Crete, said he will make our country an esteemed negotiation and will set a limit to any bargaining agreement for the survival of the country, which as he said, is the “survival of the people”.

Mr. Tsipras warned conservative European circles that “have been overstretching into democracy’s rights during the past few days” to not have any illusions. As he said, Greeks are “tough nuts to crack” and will not be blackmailed or terrified but rather, they get stubborn.

He stated that “If Europeans continue thus, people will not vote for SYRIZA alone, but for Greece, Europe, future prospects”, he added, while adding that “We warn all those that play with the stability of the country that they will pay a heavy price. Blame will be rightly attributed, and not just political blame. Those who play, will pay”.

At the same time, he accused PM Antonis Samaras for dealing in fear and described him as the “Prime Minister of Chaos”, because, as he said, the only personal hope he has is chaos itself.
