Wave of severe weather continues across the country

Rains to hit Attica and Thessaloniki at noon

The extreme weather which descended on Greece on Sunday with floods and lightning left damage in regions of the country in its wake over the past 24 hours with more extreme phenomena forecast. The severe weather will continue today and tomorrow and will begin to weaken from Wednesday.

For today, Monday, unstable weather is expected with rain and sporadic thunderstorms, in many regions of the mainland, Euboea and possibly the Sporades complex, mainly in the noon and afternoon hours. The phenomena at night will temporarily weaken. Winds will blow west northwest 3 to 5 and west and south local 6 Beaufort. The temperature will drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

ATTICA
Weather: Unstable at times cloudy with rain and sporadic thunderstorms locally strong mainly at noon and in the afternoon expected to wane at night.
Winds: From north 3 to 4 and from noon variable with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 18 to 28 degrees Celsius.

THESSALONIKI
Weather: Unstable at times cloudy with rain and sporadic thunderstorms locally strong mainly at noon and in the afternoon weakening at night.
Winds: Northwest 3 to 4 Beaufort and from noon variable with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 17 to 27 degrees Celsius.
