Western Turkey struck by 5.1 earthquake

The tremor was felt on the island of Mytilene

A 5.1 earthquake on the Richter scale hit the coast of Turkey, 52 kilometres northwest of the Greek island of Mytilene, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Center. The tremor was felt in Mytilene. The initial estimates of the Geodynamic Institute put the magnitude of the earthquake at 4.6 on the Richter scale. There have been no reports of injuries or damage so far.
