The murder of the 14-year-old boy by his fellow student and friend has shocked the local community and Greece.

The boy, who had been missing since Saturday night, was found about two kilometers away from his home in Gefyra, Thessaloniki, while his mobile phone and his wallet were found next to his body.

The boy was killed by his friend who confessed that he stabbed him to death because they had argued over their parents’ tractors.

He said that while they were returning home from a local cafeteria, the victim was teasing him saying “your dad is not able to buy a bigger tractor”. As the perpetrator told police, the victim was provoking him and he finally stabbed him.

However, according to thestival.gr, the two boys were friends and had never been engaged in fights, while the perpetrator’s parents said that their son had never complained about being bullied.
