1795 “time capsule” discovered in the US

It is a box containing items by Samuel Adams and Paul Revere

Workers performing maintenance in the parliament building in Boston, Massachusetts came upon a remarkable discovery. The workers discovered a “time capsule”, built in 1985 on a wall of the building.

The important finding came to light on Thursday morning. Workers performing repairs on the Parliament building discovered the “time machine” which came in the shape of a closed box.

Immediately they call an art historian  from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts who visited the site and helped detach the box from the wall.

Reportedly, the box was hidden in the wall by Samuel Adams and Paul Revere, during construction of the building in 1795.

According to the BBC, the capsule, which was transferred to the Museum to be studied allegedly involves Revere’s plate, handwritten notes and coins dating back to 1600. The exact content will be announced next week.
