Seven Greek universities are included in the list of the world’s top 1,000 tertiary institutions published by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens climbed up 30 spots to 301st place becoming the best-ranked Greek university this year, followed by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (459th), University of Crete (515th), University of Ioannina (582nd), University of Patras (641st), the National Technical University of Athens (695th) and the University of Thessaly (905th).
