An interactive experience in Ancient Olympia and Athens 2004

At the facilities of the International Olympic Academy

An interactive experience awaits visitors of the “Athens 2004 Historical Archive” in Ancient Olympia just before the lighting of the Olympic Flame, that will take place on Tuesday, April 16th, in Ancient Olympia, at the International Olympic Academy building, the archive covering the period from the bid to the completion of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 will be presented.

It entails a rich collection of printed, audiovisual, and digitised material integrated into interactive media, as well as official objects from the Athens Olympic Games.

The Historical Archive of the Organising Committee of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games is housed in the facilities of the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia, in a 420 sq.m. space.

Visitors to the “Athens 2004 Historical Archive” can, among other things, explore themed videos showing significant moments and events of that time and also to check out more than 3,000 designs of Olympic facilities throughout Greece.
