EuroGroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem said that no agreement had been reached between the Greek government and the institutions on the second review. Speaking in the Dutch Parliament, Thursday, Mr. Dijsselbloem denied a Reuters report published on Wednesday that claimed Greece and its creditors had reached a staff level deal. The Dutch politician, however, stressed that progress had been made in talks with the Greek government. Meanwhile, the European Commission also denied information that a staff level agreement had been reached, with the body’s spokesperson Annika Breidthardt pointing out that progress had been achieved in negotiations with the Greek authorities during the EC’s press briefing.
