During a press conference on Saturday in the northern city of Drama, DIMAR head Fotis Kouvelis underlined that the “Green-Democratic Left” coalition will not play the role of a wildcard in the upcoming general elections, “like To Potami and PASOK intend to do”.
Kouvelis underlined that any post-election cooperation involving his party must be based on a policy platform agreement.
He also stressed that Greece must escape the “asphyxiation of crisis, austerity and unemployment” and that its time the citizens take their fate in their own hands.
It should be noted that the DIMAR leader completed on Sunday his tour of northern Greece, which included stops in Drama and Thessaloniki.
Under Greece’s election law, a party must exceed 3 percent of the general election tally of voters to field MPs in the 300-deputy legislature.
