An earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale occurred at 04.49 on Wednesday morning at sea, 32 km east of Crete island according to the Institute of Geodynamics of the National Observatory of Athens.

The epicenter was about 32 km east of Zakros at Lassithi prefecture and the focal depth was 10 km.
