Erdogan threatened to put refugees on buses and send them to Greece and Bulgaria

The documents released by euro2day.gr concern a meeting between Turkey and EU officials

Newsroom February 8 05:29

Official documents reveal that Turkey and EU have been involved in discussions behind the scenes.

It is not a coincidence that EU pushes Greece to deal with the refugee flow threatening Greece with Schengen area expulsion, while member states do not put any pressure on Turkey which has not honored yet its commitments about the refugee issue.

The documents released by euro2day.gr concern a meeting between Turkey and EU officials, including head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and President of the European Council Donald Tusk, where President Tayip Erdogan threatened that if EU did not link the refugee issue with Turkey’s accession negotiations, it will “open the doors to Greece and Bulgaria and put the refugees on buses”.

Moreover, Turkish President said that there would be more dead children, while he did not accept the 3bln euros aid for 2 years offered by EU, but he asked for 3bln euros per year. He also demanded to open all chapters for the accession of Turkey to the European Union.
