Turks have voted in parliamentary polls for the second time in five months, since President of AKP, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, tries to regain its majority.
With more than 98 per cent of the votes counted by late evening, the AKP secured a clear majority of parliamentary seats.
“This victory is not ours, it is our nation’s,” Ahmet Davutoglu, AKP prime minister, told a rally of cheering supporters in the party stronghold of Konya.
