EU Commissioner Avramopoulos proposes a European Intelligence Agency to be formed

He called all the member states to implement the European Agenda for Safety

Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos  proposed European Union to form an European Intelligence Service, upon his arrival to the extraordinary EU Interior Ministers meeting in Brussels.

As he stated, after the European Counter Terrorism Center in Europol that was established after the attack at Charlie Hebdo “now it is the right time to take a step further and to lay the foundations for the creation of a European Intelligence Agency and called all the member states to implement the European Agenda for Safety,”.

“Europe supports France with solidarity and compassion. Today’s meeting in Brussels is of great importance” Mr.  Avramopoulos stressed.
