The professional doppelgänger, Heidi Agan, lives in Corby, Northamptonshire and she thought to start making money as Middleton lookalike when the customers of the restaurant she was working at noticed how alike the two women were.
“When Prince William and Kate announced their engagement in November 2010, I was working as a waitress in my local Frankie & Benny’s”, Agan said.
The customers were the first to tell her that she looked like Kate.
Agan took it as a compliment first, but on February 2012, 10 months after the royal wedding, the customers started asking her to take pictures with them.
It was then when she thought that there could be money in looking like Kate.
As Agan says, she went to local agencies and within a month she got her first job for Gatwick Airport to promote their customer service.
She now earns between £500 and £3,000 per job, with around three jobs a week.
But, it was not only the physical appearance that made Agan such a successful doppelgänger. She studies videos and pictures to learn Kate’s mannerisms and she is dressing like her, too.
“It takes me two hours to transform myself. I do my own hair and make-up, and study the changes in Kate’s appearance in detail” says Agan, as The Sun reports.
She also works with other ‘members’ of the royal family, such as William lookalikes, and Queen lookalike Mary Reynolds.
