“We got almost killed tonight, there were people running in panic to save themselves over the risk of explosion, fragments and possible other Molotov cocktails,” said a citizen describing what happened on Friday night at the center of Athens when unknown individuals set fire to a trolley.
A group of hooded extremists stopped a trolley moving on Patission street, outside The National Technical University, and asked the passengers and the driver to get off the vehicle. Then, they set fire to the trolley throwing Molotov cocktails.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, while fire service rushed to the scene quickly and extinguished the fire.
A passenger of another trolley posted a video showing the burning vehicle in the middle of the street.
