The Athens International Airport, continuing its collaboration with the Art-Athina International Exhibition of Contemporary Art, which celebrates its 20th year, presents a new group exhibition of photographs and video under the title “Final Destination.”
The exhibition will run from October 7 to December 31, in the “Art and Environment” exhibition hall (Departures Level).
In “Final Destination,” curated by the art historian Anna Chatzinassiou, contemporary Greek artists photograph landscapes, interiors and cities depicting the natural or artificial environment which changes continuously.
In their works, their love for the Greek landscape is clear, while, they way they are presented and selected is trying to create interesting correlations between the artists and their photographs by using the formed airport area and space, through which hundreds of travelers are passing daily before reaching their final destination.
The exhibition can be visited free of charge on a 24-hour basis.
